Cass was born as a result of a one-night stand, and their mother quickly abandoned them at a building's doorstep after giving birth at home. Unfortunately, she hadn't abandoned them in a safe area, and they were taken by a scientist who was heading to work. as a result, Cass was in an observation room for the first ten years of their life, until the building was raided by government officials and they were rescued.things didn't exactly get better for them yet, they were put in an adoption center and eventually aged out, enlisting shortly afterwards. things finally started going okay, now that they had somewhere to be where they were wanted (or at least they were no longer being treated like they didn't matter.)
